China denies media reports about possible sending of peacekeepers to Ukraine
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun has denied media reports about possible sending of peacekeepers to Ukraine.
It was reported by Global Times.
Earlier, the German newspaper Die Welt reported that diplomatic representatives of some EU countries stated that China had expressed its readiness to participate in possible "international peacekeeping forces" in Ukraine.
When asked to comment or confirm the information, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun stated on August 25 that the relevant reports were not true. He added that China's position on the "Ukrainian crisis" is consistent and clear.
Recall that in early August, the Office of the President of Ukraine stated that Beijing had not responded in any way to evidence of the use of Chinese components in russian weapons, which Kyiv had repeatedly provided.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, for the first time in three years, China reduced its trade volume with the aggressor country russia.
On August 18, the German Foreign Ministry stated that without support from China, the aggressor country russia would not have been able to wage a protracted war against Ukraine.
