Defense Intelligence attacks Komi refinery with drones more than 2,000 kilometers from Ukraine

Sources in the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that on August 10, drones hit the LUKOIL-Ukhtaneftepererabotka oil refinery, located in the russian Republic of Komi - more than 2,000 km from the Ukrainian border.

As reported by the Ukrainska Pravda, according to intelligence, the enterprise supplied the russian occupation forces with fuel and lubricants. During the attack, a tank with oil products was destroyed, which led to a spill, and a gas and gas condensate processing plant, which is used to produce propane-butane and gasoline, was damaged.

Information about the explosions at the refinery previously appeared on russian Telegram channels.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Saratov Oil Refinery. The company is capable of processing up to 7 million tons of crude oil annually.

Meanwhile, on August 2, drones attacked oil refineries in two regions of the russian federation. A military airfield and a radio factory were also hit that day.
