"To give you back your freedom." Elon Musk announces creation of new political party in USA

Billionaire Elon Musk announced the creation of a new political party called the "America Party." He announced this on the social network X.

"By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you shall have it! When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy. Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom," the message says.

On July 4, US Independence Day, Musk launched a poll asking whether Americans want "independence from the two-party system and whether it is worth creating an America Party." 65.4% answered "yes", 34.6% answered "no."

Recall, Trump said that he would consider the issue of possible deportation of Elon Musk from the United States amid a dispute between the politician and the entrepreneur.

On June 4, Musk criticized the new tax and spending bill, which was proposed by the Donald Trump administration.

Already on June 5, Musk said that without it, Trump would not have been able to win the presidential election, which took place in the United States in the fall of 2024.

In response to Musk's criticism, Trump called him "crazy."
