Russians increasing combat activity in Sumy Region and in Vovchansk Axis - Border Service

In the Sumy and Kharkiv Regions, in particular in the Vovchansk Axis, russian occupiers are increasing their forces to expand the zone of active combat operations on the territory of Ukraine. This was announced by the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andrii Demchenko on TV, Ukrinform reports.

"In the Kupyansk Axis, assault actions by the enemy are also continuing, however, the enemy is most actively manifesting itself in the Vovchansk Axis and within the Sumy Region - in particular in the areas of the settlements of Basivka and Zhuravka," the officer said.

As the spokesman noted, in addition to these Axes, the enemy is trying to intensify sabotage activities in other areas of the border operational zone.

"The enemy's sabotage activities also persist, especially within the Sumy Region - closer to the Chernihiv and Kharkiv Regions. Daily shelling does not stop both in the Sumy Region and in the Kharkiv and Chernihiv Regions. The enemy continues to use unmanned aerial vehicles, FPV drones, fiber-optic drones, and also uses aviation - especially in the Sumy Axes," Demchenko added.
