Trump says he had "some good" discussions on russia and Ukraine
US President Donald Trump said he and his advisers had had some good discussions on russia and Ukraine in recent days, without going into details.
He said this to reporters on Sunday, Reuters reported.
So, in a conversation with reporters when he returned to the White House after a weekend in Florida, Trump was asked if he planned to meet with russian leader vladimir putin in Saudi Arabia when he goes there later this month. He replied that he had not thought about it.
At the same time, Trump noted that "we had some good discussions" on russia and Ukraine in recent days.
"There is a lot of hatred there," he added.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the meantime, Trump said that in the negotiations to resolve the war between russia and Ukraine, the United States is closer to one of the parties. However, he did not specify which side he was referring to.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared new details of his meeting with Trump at the Vatican. He said that the personal conversation had yielded results.
