Russia says moscow cannot accept US proposals to end war
The aggressor country russia cannot accept US proposals to end the full-scale war against Ukraine in their current form. Moscow believes they do not address the root causes of the conflict.
According to Reuters, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said this in an interview with the International Relations magazine.
"We take the models and solutions proposed by the Americans very seriously, but we can't accept it all in its current form," Ryabkov said.
According to him, the American proposals allegedly do not include moscow's main requirement – solving problems related to the root causes of this conflict.
"It is completely absent, and that must be overcome," Ryabkov added.
Russian dictator vladimir putin and his entourage have repeatedly stated that they want Ukraine to abandon its ambitions to join NATO. The kremlin also wants Kyiv to give up four regions and reduce the size of the army.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 1, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated that the number of combat clashes on the front has increased against the backdrop of peace talks.
Recall, on March 29, russian government official Grigory Karasin, who represented the russian federation at the talks in Saudi Arabia, suggested that a ceasefire agreement would not be reached this year.
And the day before, the British newspaper The Telegraph wrote that the peace talks turned out to be a scam for the US, since russia never sought to resolve the conflict.
