Defense Ministry names 4 regions that provide largest recruitment to AFU

In Ukraine, the largest recruitment to the Armed Forces is currently provided by the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia Regions, as well as the city of Kyiv.

Deputy Minister of Defense, Brigadier General of Justice Serhii Melnyk stated this on TV.

"As of today, I can single out five top regions that are maximally recruiting for the Armed Forces. These are the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia Regions, as well as Kyiv. And what is most interesting in this story is that more than 20% of our citizens who wish to join the ranks of the Armed Forces are our charming women," Melnyk noted.

According to him, currently, according to statistics from the Ministry of Defense, 30,000 Ukrainians subject to military service have joined the ranks of the Armed Forces through recruiting centers in a year.

"We receive information every week, and this information is as follows: about 900 citizens of Ukraine wish to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their own. And now we can state the fact that the popularity of today's top military-accounting specialties is as follows: the first is UAV operators and medical workers, as well as employees of military unit headquarters," the deputy minister informed.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Defense previously named three regions that are leading in recruiting women to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On October 15, the Cabinet of Ministers approved recruiting to the army in electronic form.
