Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on April 18, 2019 has signed a decree imposing an embargo on Ukrainian imports of pipes and metalworking products.
This decree #460-25 comes into force from the day of its official publication.
According to the document Russian government sanctioned impots of Ukrainian wire, hot-rolled seamless pipes, steel ropes, mesh fasteners and steel enamel cookware as well as paper, cardboard and packaging.
Moreover, the decree also bans the import into Russia of different types of Ukrainian knitted products, like suits, jackets, blazers, dresses, skirts, T-shirts, sweaters, pullovers, tights, stockings, socks, bras, belts, etc.
As to machinery products Russia imposed an embargo on pipelayers, bulldozers, loaders, headers and spare parts for them.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on 25 December 2018, the Russian Prime Minister signed Resolution No. 1656, which expands the list of Ukrainian individuals and legal entities subject to Russian sanctions.
The sanctions against Ukraine were initially introduced by the Russian Government on 1 November 2018 under Resolution No. 1300. The sanctions include: (a) the blocking/ freezing of non-cash funds, non-documentary securities and property located within the Russian Federation, and (b) a ban on the transfer of money from Russia abroad.
