The Russian Federation does not see any alternative to its vision of deployment of a United Nations peacekeeping mission in Donbas and states that it has certain disagreements with the United States in that respect.

Press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Russia has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Following a meeting with United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on the sidelines of the meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna (Austria), Foreign Affairs Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov said that the parties affirmed lack of options for the Minsk agreements.

Lavrov also expressed his concern about appearance of options for deployment of the peacekeeping mission in Donbas.

In particular, Lavrov said that the position of United States Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker in this context does contradict the Russia's initiative.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Foreign Affairs Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson have discussed deployment of a UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas and work of anticorruption bodies in Ukraine.
