President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a law increasing the fines for parking transport vehicles on places allocated for handicapped people from UAH 465 to UAH 1,700.
The presidential press service announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The law introduces fines of between UAH 1,020 and UAH 1,700 on economic entities for failure to develop places for invalids on pavements and roads.
The law will take effect in three months after the date of its publication.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 22, 2017, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the bill increasing the fines for parking transport vehicles on places allocated for handicapped people from UAH 465 to UAH 1,700.
With 226 votes required, 244 lawmakers voted for bill No.5629.
