Cabinet Suggesting Rada Raise Excises For Cigarettes From UAH 445.56 To UAH 495.46 Per Thousand, For Beer From UAH 2.78 To UAH 3.09 Per Liter, For Ethanol From UAH 126.96 To UAH 141.18 Per Liter Of 100% Spirit

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine suggests that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine raise excise fee for cigarettes from UAH 445.56 to UAH 495.46 per thousand, for beer from UAH 2.78 to UAH 3.09 per liter and for ethanol from UAH 126.96 to UAH 141.18 per liter of 100-percent spirit.

The Ukrainian Government approved respective bill at its Wednesday meeting, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Besides, the bill offers to raise excise fee for strong wines and vermouths from UAH 8.02 to 8.92, for sparkling wines from UAH 11.65 to UAH 12.95 per liter; for cider and other fermented beverages from UAH 129.96 to UAH 141.18 per liter of pure spirit, for cider without spirit added from UAH 1.06 to UAH 1.18 per liter of the beverage.

The excise fee for grape wines is retained (UAH 0.01).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine has envisaged indexation of excise fees on the level of inflation.

The Cabinet of Ministers suggests that the Ukrainian Parliament introduce automated system of control over circulation of goods subjected to excising and e-excise delivery documents for transportation of spirit, alcoholic products, tobacco goods.
