Court Re-Schedules Hearing Of Administrative Offense Case Over Liashko Combining Parliamentary Activity, Polityka Newspaper Business For July 21

The Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv has re-scheduled hearing of the administrative offense case against Chairperson of the Radical Party parliamentary faction Oleh Liashko accused of combining his parliamentary activity with management of the Polityka Newspaper Editorial Office private joint-stock company for July 21.

The court announced this to Liashko at the court meeting on Tuesday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The next meeting is planned to start at 10 a.m.

The next time the court will hear from Chairperson of the board of the Polityka Newspaper Editorial Office private joint-stock company Oleh Mikliayev.

According to Liashko, he transferred management of the company to Mikliayev in 2006.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) demand from court to fine Liashko of UAH 6,800 - 11,900 for combining his parliamentary membership and management of the Polityka newspaper, as well as for false testifying.

The NACP established that Liashko in 2006-2016 held a position in the executive body of the private company and continues to be a member of the board.

Liashko denied mixing the parliamentary activity and management of the company.
