On July 17, militants 17 times shelled positions of the Antiterrorist Operation (ATO) forces. Press service of the ATO has said this in a statement posted on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports. "During the past twenty-four hours, the illegal armed forces stepped up firing on the Ukrainian Army's positions in Donetsk direction. In total, for the past twenty-four hours militants 17 times broke a ceasefire. ATO Forces 10 times opened fire," the statement read. In particular, in Mariupol direction, militants fired of ATO Forces near Lebedynske village from 120-millimeter mortar guns. In Donetsk direction, militants shelled from 120-millimeter and 82-millimeter mortar guns, grenade launchers of various types, large-caliber gun machines and small arms on Ukrainian defense forces located in Avdiivka, Pisky and Butivka mine. In Luhansk direction, the enemy maintained fire from large-caliber gun machines and small arms on Ukrainian defending positions near Stanytsia Luhanska, Novooleksandrivka and Novozvanivka. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 16, militants 16 times shelled ATO Forces. A Trilateral Contact Group for settlement of the conflict in Donbas (Ukraine - Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe - the Russian Federation) agreed about a ceasefire starting June 24.
