Information portal Rambler (the Russian Federation) intends to launch the rambler.ua online portal.
The company has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"We have been, we are and will remain the online service beyond any politics that holds needs of our customers from different countries as a priority. First of all we are a communication channel, a technology channel that provides convenience and swift communications to our customers. Welcome to rambler.ua," the statement said.
According to the report, the resource will inform readers from all regions of Ukraine about up-to-date events and news in every of 25 major cities of the country, hryvnia to ruble exchange rate and weather forecast.
Users will also be able to register an email @rambler.ua that will allow emails exchange similarly to previous rambler/mail.
The portal will also allow to move a blocked email from a previous server to the new online resource and to continue to use it with the old address.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, starting May 17, President Petro Poroshenko enacted a decision of the National Security and Defense Council that put restrictions against 1,228 individuals and 468 entities.
Ukraine imposed sanctions on the 1С company, the Parus corporation, the Softline Group limited liability company (all based in Moscow), and a number of other companies, as well as their offices in Ukraine.
In addition, sanctions were imposed against broadcasting companies REN TV, NTV Plus, RBK, TNT and a number of other Russian media.
Ukraine also banned access to the Mail.ru (mail agent), VKontakte, Odnoklassniki (social media), and online search engine Yandex and its services.
