The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has no information that Russian intelligence agencies recruited Pavlo Parshov, the murderer of former Russian State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov.
Viktor Kononenko, the head of the SBU's department for protection of statehood and combating terrorism, announced this at a news briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Kononenko advised journalists to ask Parliamentary Deputy Anton Heraschenko of the People's Front faction when he obtained the information the Parshov was recruited by Russian intelligence agencies.
At the same time, Kononenko stressed that the SBU registers many attempts to recruit Ukrainian soldiers.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Heraschenko recently said that Parshov was recruited and infiltrated into the National Guard by Russian intelligence agencies.
