Ex-State Duma MP Voronenkov's Wounded Security Guard In Medically Induced Coma

Murdered former Russian State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov's injured guard has been placed in a medically induced coma.

A source within the Ministry of Interior Affairs disclosed this to Ukrainian News Agency.

According to the source, he went into an induced coma after an operation.

The source also said that the witnesses who spoke to the guard before the operation said that murder suspect Pavlo Parshov called Voronenkov's name before killing him, which indicates that it was a contract killing.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Voronenkov was killed near the Premier Palace Hotel in downtown Kyiv at about 12:00 p.m. on March 23.

Voronenkov's guard wounded the killer.

Parshov later died in hospital.
