Poroshenko Signs Law Mandating Members Of Anti-Corruption Public Organizations To File E-Declarations

President Petro Poroshenko has signed a law that mandates members of anti-corruption public organizations to file electronic asset declarations.

This was announced on the website of the parliament, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The law has been signed. It was returned on 27.03.2017 with the signature of the President," the information on the website states.

At a meeting with representatives of public organizations earlier on Monday, Poroshenko said that the draft law should be signed because of the need to take account of the interests of military servicemen.

At the same time, because the requirement for members of anti-corruption public organizations to file electronic asset declarations will enter into effect in 2018, Poroshenko supported the idea that it is necessary to create a working group with the participation of representatives of public organizations, parliamentary deputies, and the Presidential Administration to agree changes to the relevant law.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the parliament canceled the requirement for contract soldiers and mobilized soldiers to submit electronic asset declarations on March 23.

The same law requires members of public anti-corruption organizations and candidates for the positions of parliamentary deputy and president of Ukraine to file electronic asset declarations.
