Ukraine, IMF Discussing Lifting Blockade From Sberbank's Operations

Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund are discussing the issue of lifting the blockade from work of Sberbank in Ukraine.

Ukrainian News agency learnt this from well-informed sources in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the National Bank of Ukraine.

Besides, Ukraine and the IMF have almost tackled the issue of goods traffic blockade at the contact line in Donbas.

The IMF and the Government of Ukraine have already agreed new macroeconomic outlook and negative risks to economy as a result of the blockade.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, activists of the National Corps (former Azov) blocked an outlet of Sberbank in Sumy on March 24.

At present, Sberbank outlets in Kyiv, Dnipro and Zaporizhia remain blocked.

The IMF suspended discussion of the third revision of the EFF (Extended Fund Facility) program for Ukraine and allocation of the next tranche worth USD 1 billion earlier scheduled for March 20.

The IMF suggested revision of indicators of development of economy as a result of the Donbas blockade.
