One woman was killed and one woman was wounded as a result of explosions at the ammunition warehouses in the town of Balakleya (Kharkiv region) on March 23.
Chairperson of the State Emergency Situations Service Mykola Chechotkin said this at a meeting at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, mine pickers have started demining of the territory near the ammunition warehouse areas in the town of Balakleya.
President Petro Poroshenko has urged the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Ministry of Defense and the State Emergency Situations Service to attract specialists from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to conduct humanitarian demining in Balakleya.
