President Petro Poroshenko and President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko have agreed to intensify bilateral political dialogue.
Press service of the President of Ukraine said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Besides, the two Presidents discussed current state and prospects of development of bilateral relations.
The heads of the states pointed out importance of full implementation of agreements reached at a meeting of the intergovernmental Ukrainian-Belarusian mixed committee on trade-economic cooperation that took place in late 2016.
Besides, Lukashenko welcome appointment of Ihor Kizim as Ukraine's Ambassador to Belarus.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ukraine considers provocative statement by the leadership of the Republic of Belarus saying that armed fighters are allegedly trained in the territory of Ukraine.
