Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman expects the situation involving an explosion at an ammunition depot in Balakleya (Kharkiv region) to be resolved in 3-7 days.

Groysman announced this at a news briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"About half of the arsenal itself has been damaged. We are seeing that we need several more days, the situation may last from 3 to 7 days... We are watching how the situation develops," Groysman said.

The prime minister stressed that all the relevant services are ready to begin work on restoration of the destroyed facilities after it becomes safe to work in the zone of explosions.

He added that the government is ready to allocate funds from the reserve fund to the region to enable it to solve the reissues related to the explosions at the military arsenal.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, according to the military prosecutor for Kharkiv garrison, sabotage caused explosions at several missile and artillery warehouses at the military arsenal at 02:56 a.m. on March 23.

A 7-kilometer safety radius has been created around the military arsenal.

A woman was wounded as a result of the explosions.
