Russia Suspends Border Traffic At Novy Yurkovich Checkpoint At Border With Ukraine

The Russian Federation has temporarily ceased citizen and vehicle traffic across the Novy Yurkovich checkpoint (Russia) at the border with Ukraine.

Spokesperson for the State Border Service of Ukraine Oleh Slobodian has written this on the Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

He said the Russian side had not informed about the reason for such a decision.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January, the State Border Service stated that Russia had unofficially toughened the border crossing regime for Ukrainians.
