At its plenary meeting on Wednesday, the State Duma (the Parliament of the Russian Federation) adopted the law (in its final reading) that bans remittances from Russia to Ukraine via foreign payment systems.
This is said in the bill No. 21966-7, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The restrictions envisioned by the bill will take effect from the day of promulgation of such information by the Regulator.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in October 2016, Ukraine expanded sanctions against Russia having imposed a ban on a number of Russian payment systems in its territory.
The sanctions touched the Colibri payment system operated by Sberbank of Russia.
Besides they touched the Zolotaya Korona, Unistream, Leader International Remittances, Anelik, and Blizko payment systems.
