Poroshenko, Groysman, Danyliuk And Hontareva Will Meet To Discuss Cooperation With IMF

President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, Finance Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk and Chair of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriya Hontareva will hold a meeting to discuss cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.

The President of Ukraine said this at the Monday meeting of the Regional Development Council, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

He said that it is critically important for Ukraine to continue Extended Fund Facility (EFF) loan program with the IMF.

He said that on Monday, he started the day with discussion of the IMF issue.

Poroshenko noted that the allocation of the tranche was suspended as a result of the Donbas blockade.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the executive board of the International Monetary Fund has postponed consideration of the issue of disbursement of a loan tranche of USD 1 billion to Ukraine, which was planned for March 20.

The National Security and Defense Council recently decided to stop the movement of goods across the line of contact between Ukraine and the non-government-controlled territories in the Donetsk and Luhansk temporarily.

President Petro Poroshenko has introduced the National Security and Defense Council's decision and approved the decision to impose sanctions against commercial banks with Russian state capital.
