Notice Of Suspicion Served To Former Head Of State Affairs Department Tarasyuk

The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has served a notice of suspicion to Ihor Tarasyuk, former head of the State Affairs Department.

Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko wrote this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

He says that the notice of suspicion has been served to Tarasyuk within a criminal case against former president Viktor Yanukovych, his son Oleksandr Yanukovych, other former officials on the illegal takeover of the Puscha Vodytsia recreation complex of the Mezhyhirria residence worth UAH 540 million.

Yurii Lutsenko says the notice of suspicion was served to Ihor Tarasyuk on March 2, 2017.

He says the home of Tarasyuk has been searched. Detectives have found documents, EUR 1 million, gold and other evidence important for the investigation.

Yurii Lutsenko says a court will decide a question of arrest of Tarasyuk on Friday, March 3.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Prosecutor General's Office has notified Oleksandr Yanukovych, the son of former President Viktor Yanukovych, that he is suspected of involvement in the illegal takeover of the Mezhyhiria residence (Petrivtsi, Kyiv region).
