The National Bank of Ukraine considers that the blockade at the railway in Donbas will slow down the gross domestic product growth in Ukraine by 1.3 percentage points to 1.5% in 2017.
Head of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriya Hontareva has said this at a press-conference, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Such situation in Donbas will also be very negative for the balance of payments.
She also said the situation in Donbas may inter alia affect the interbank foreign currency market.
Hontareva stressed that the Regulator has sufficient amount of instruments to smoothen excessive fluctuations in the foreign currency market.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the NBU considers that the requirement blockade at the contact line in Donbas is negative for the balance of payments.
