Defence Ministry: 75% Navy Servicemen Defect To Russia During Crimea Annexation In 2014

Seventy-five percent of the Navy servicemen defected to Russia during the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014.

Navy Commander Ihor Voronchenko said this in an interview for Fifth Channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Nearly 2,400 military of the Navy left for the mainland, some 25%, he said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Prosecutor of Crimea Gunduz Mamedov says that active state officials appear in the criminal proceedings involving the seizure of the Crimean peninsula.
