The International Monetary Fund (IMF) hopes to complete negotiations on the third tranche to Ukraine next week (March 6-12).
Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a statement made by Voice of America.
The IMF refuted the reports alleging postponement of the negotiations with Ukraine on the next tranche over the alleged resignation of Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Valeriya Hontareva.
"Have reached much progress in the making of decisions required to accomplish the third review by the IMF. Keep discussing the remaining issues. We hope to propose the Board to finish the check next week," the IMF said in a statement.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the IMF mission was working in Ukraine from November 3 to 17, 2016.
Last time Ukraine received the 3d tranche from the IMF in the amount of USD 1 billion in September 2016.
