The Ukrzaliznytsia public joint stock company intends to launch the Kovel - Chelm (the Republic of Poland) train from 1 July 2017.
Ukrzaliznytsia Director General Wojciech Balczun announced this on his Facebook page, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the CEO, Pesa train will run the route.
Ukrzaliznytsia is also eyeing Lviv - Krakow - Lviv route to launch in the summer of 2017.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ukrzaliznytsia public joint-stock company launched a new fast train Intercity+ 705/706 from Kyiv to Lviv and Przemysl, Poland on December 23, 2017.
Ukrzaliznytsia PSJC started its economic operations on December 1, 2015.
Ukrzaliznytsia incorporates Lviv, Odesa, South, South-Western, and Prydniprovska Railways, as well as other production and technological enterprises and organizations engaged in provision of freight and passenger carriage.
