The Verkhovna Rada has refused to resume the work of tax police.
Just 203 Members of Parliament voted for the respective amendment to draft law No. 0940 while 226 votes required, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The bill itself was adopted in second reading with 278 votes.
The document exempts from taxation estate inherited by heirs of second priority.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Verkhovna Rada in late 2016 made a clerical mistake which in fact outlawed the tax police from January 1, 2017 on.
Therefore, the Finance Ministry prepared the bill on the Financial Police.
In response to that, the Rada's Committee on Tax and Customs Policies initiated removal of the technical uncertainty of the work of the tax police, having registered bill No. 0940.
