Member of Parliament Serhii Melnychuk (Will of the People group) has corrected the amount of cash of UAH 1 trillion indicated in the electronic income declaration for 2015 for UAH 10 million in cash.
Ukrainian News Agency learned this from the Uniform State Register of Declarations of Persons Authorized for Performing State or Local Self-Government Functions.
On January 13, 2017, the National Corruption Prevention Agency (NCPA) permitted Member of Parliament Serhii Melnychuk to correct the amount of cash of UAH 1 trillion indicated in the electronic income declaration for 2015 between February 6 and 13.
On February 13, MP Melnychuk told Ukrainian News Agency he could not submitted a corrected electronic declaration for technical problems.
He submitted the corrected declaration on February 16.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Melnychuk submitted the original declaration on October 29, 2016.
Thus, he was allowed to make corrections to it before November 6, 2016.
The corrected declaration can be submitted only once.
As of January 24, there were two Melnychuk's declarations on the Register: the original one and the corrected one. Both show UAH 1 trillion in cash.
In November 2016, Melnychuk applied the NCPA to afford him an opportunity to correct to UAH 10 million the UAH 1 trillion in cash he showed in the electronic income declaration for 2015.
