Radio stations Ukrainian Radio and Meydan Radiosı have commenced broadcasting on the territory of the Russia-occupied Crimea.
Serhii Kostynskyi, a member of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
He says the radio stations are broadcasting with the help of a new radio tower in the village of Karachuk, Kherson region.
"Now you can listen in Crimea to Ukrainian Radio at the frequency 100.7 and Meydan Radiosı at frequencies 101.4 and 90.8," he wrote.
He said the signal is available in Simferopol, Dzhankoi, Armiansk, Krasnoperekopsk.
Radio Krym Realii and Kherson FM will also broadcast for Crimea soon, according to him.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Information Policy Ministry of Ukraine predicted construction of a new radio tower in Chonhar, Kherson region, before 2017.
