The intelligence service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine says the death of the commander of the Somali battalion of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" Mikhail Tolstykh, also known as Givi, has shattered morale of the Russian troops in Donbas.
The press service of the Chief Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The statement reads that the Russian military officers have acknowledged the possibility of physical destruction of commanders involved in military crimes on the territory of Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on 8 February 2017, the headquarters of the antiterrorist operation confirmed the death of the commander of the Somali battalion of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" Mikhail Tolstykh, also known as Givi, in Makiivka, Donetsk region.
