SBU, National Police Find No Evidence Of Spying On Ukrainska Pravda Journalists

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Police have found no evidence of spying on the Ukrainska Pravda internet publication's journalists.

Interior Affairs Minister Arsen Avakov announced this at a news briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to Avakov, the National Police has received a response from the SBU regarding possible spying on journalists.

In addition, he said that no evidence of eavesdropping on the journalists' telephones have been uncovered.

However, according to him, the criminals that organized the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet could be tracking Ukrainska Pravda's journalists.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the National Police launched an investigation into wiretapping of the Ukrainska Pravda online publication's journalists in November 2016.

Earlier, Ukrainska Pravda had published a statement in which it accused the security services and the police of wiretapping its journalists.
