Cabinet Appoints Kniazev As National Police Head

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Serhii Kniazev as the head of the National Police of Ukraine.

The decision was taken at the Wednesday meeting of the Ukrainian Government, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Before, Kniazev, 45, had headed the criminal investigations department of the National Police.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Minister of Interior Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov suggested that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appoint Kniazev as the head of the National Police.
