Iran Invites Ukraine To Join International Persian Gulf - Black Sea Treaty

The Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran has invited Ukraine to join the international Persian Gulf - Black Sea treaty.

Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a statement made by the Ministry of Infrastructure.

This initiative is important for the development of the India - Iran - Black Sea transport corridor.

Approximate cost of the construction, estimated by Prydniprovska Railway specialists at the place of the first project, is USD 2.3 million.

The Iranian party invited Ukraine to build 1,000km of railway bed in Iran and take part in USD 10 billion railway projects and develop intermodal transport.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian and Iran's Deputy Roads and Urban Development Minister Ali Noorzad in July 2016 signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the railway industry.

It provides for close cooperation in the railway industry for the implementation of large-scale projects of construction of railways in Iran.

The parties will be sharing expertise in the construction of railway infrastructure, specifically manufacture and laying of long continuous rails, rail-laying equipment, communication and signal systems.
