Rada Refuses To Regulate Production Of Amber

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has refused to regulate the production of amber.

With 226 votes required, 158 MPs voted for draft law No.1351-1, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The Verkhovna Rada also failed to send the draft law for the further work. With 226 votes required, 215 MPs voted for this initiative.

Thus, the draft law is deemed rejected.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in April 2015 the Verkhovna Rada intended to regulate the production and sale of amber, having voted for the adoption as a basis of the draft law No. 1351-1 with 234 votes.
