President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko intends to meet with representatives of the new Administration of the President of the United States during the Munich Security Conference in Germany February 17-19.
Presidential Administration deputy head Kostiantyn Yeliseyev Administration announced this at a news briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"We are preparing a visit of the President of Ukraine to Munich and we are also preparing bilateral meetings in Munich with representatives of the new Administration who also plan to take part in the conference on security," he said.
As for the visit of President Poroshenko to the United States, the deputy head of the Presidential Administration said it would be in Washington. The dates are being agreed with the Administration of President of the United States Donald Trump.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, United States ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley says that sanctions against Russia will remain in place until Russia returns the occupied Crimea to Ukraine.
