The anti-terrorist operation (ATO) headquarters says that militants' tank elements staged a massed attack near the Donetsk airport on January 30.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defence for ATO issues Oleksandr Motuzianyk announced this at a press briefing, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The ATO HQ notes that militants and RF military are applying artillery fire upon the residential districts of Donetsk.
The situation near the Donetsk filtration plant has somewhat stabilised, militants have subsided intensity of shelling.
The situation on the Svitlodarsk arc remains tense.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the intelligence service of the Ministry of Defence says that 10 militants were killed and 25 wounded in the fights off Avdiivka, Donetsk Region on January 30.
