Chairman of the Donetsk regional civil-military administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi says it is impossible to start repair work in Avdiivka, Donetsk region, on Tuesday.
He wrote this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Shelling of Avdiivka does not stop. The Russian side in the JCCC [Joint Center on Control and Coordination of issues related to the ceasefire regime and the stabilization of the situation on the contact line (JCCC)] has not provided a written confirmation of ceasefire in the area of repair works. The repair teams won't be able to come to the place of break of the electricity transmission line today," he writes.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, at about 14.00 on January 31 the head of the Donetsk regional civil-military administration Zhebrivskyi said there were signs of respect of ceasefire near Avdiivka.
Zhebrivskyi said that a tentative agreement had been reached on a state of ceasefire in Avdiivka from 12:00 on Tuesday but then said there was no ceasefire as of 12:45.
The regional military-civilian administration is ready to evacuate Avdiivka residents to Mariupol, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk and Sviatohirsk if necessary.
