The Ukrainian part of the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) says that militants are augmenting personnel and hardware near Avdiivka, Donetsk Region.
Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a statement made by the press service of the Ministry of Defence.
Over two days the enemy took 10 assault actions in the area of Avdiivka.
They are using 152mm and 122m artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, and 120mm and 82mm mortars.
In all, they fired 1,578 projectiles upon positions of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces and Avdiivka.
"The enemy continues manoeuvring forces and means, bringing up reserves, augmenting the personnel strength on the frontline, and bringing up weapons and military hardware of new types, and increasing the quantity of rounds applied," the Ministry said.
At the moment, repair-and-renewal operations in the town are impossible over the continuous shelling.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Chairman of the Donetsk regional civil-military administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi says that there are signs of respect of ceasefire near Avdiivka.
