Chairman of the Donetsk regional civil-military administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi says that there are signs of respect of ceasefire near Avdiivka, Donetsk Region.

The President's press secretary Sviatoslav Tseholko announced this on Facebook following Zhebrivskyi's report to the Head of State, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The President engaged all international elements of pressure on Russia. Information from the General Staff, ceasefire remains on the Yasynuvata lines from Avdiivka, but militants keep on the shelling in the area of the industrial zone," he wrote.

Repair crews are standing ready to respond immediately to repair power and gas supply systems in Avdiivka.

The repair works will start right after confirmation of the ceasefire by Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) observers, Tseholko wrote.

Zhebrivskyi informed that the central city hospital of Avdiivka are provided with autonomous power supply facilities and is working as normal; 11 warming stations have been set up in the city.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Zhebrivskyi said that a tentative agreement had been reached on a state of ceasefire in Avdiivka from 12:00 on Tuesday but then said there was no ceasefire as of 12:45.

The Donetsk administration is ready to evacuate Avdiivka residents to Mariupol, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk and Sviatohirsk if necessary.
