Kyiv Subway Not Intending To Increase Fares In Near Future

The Kyivskyi Metropoliten municipal enterprise running the city subway is not intending to increase the fares in the near future.

The municipal enterprise announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The statement reads that the municipal enterprise earned a profit of UAH 71.6 million in 2016 for the first time over the past 15 years.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, preliminary estimations show that Kyivskyi Metropoliten earned a net profit of UAH 76.1 million for 2016, according to the national accounting standards (while in 2015 the enterprise suffered loss of UAH 119 million).

The Kyiv city state administration estimates the prime cost of one ride in the city subway at more than UAH 6.
