NBU Expecting Two Tranches Of Macro-Finance Assistance From European Union Totaling USD 1.4 Billion In 2017

The National Bank of Ukraine is expecting two tranches of the macro-finance assistance from the European Union for a total sum of USD 1.4 billion in 2017.

NBU Deputy Governor Dmytro Solohub announced this at a press conference, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The government is planning to attract two tranches from the European Union this year. This is close to USD 1.4 billion as far as I remember," he said.

The tranches will be one of factors leading the surplus of the balance of payment in 2017.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriya Hontareva predicts that the fourth tranche of the International Monetary Fund will be allocated in 2017.
