The Ministry of Infrastructure has mounted an initiative to raise the tariffs for domestic carriage by rail of passengers, baggage and cargo-luggage 10% from April and same from October in all categories of trains and cars (but 1st class cars of Intercity+ trains).
Ukrainian News Agency has seen a draft Ministry order.
Indexation of the tariffs in December 2017 year over year will be 21%.
It will let partially reduce the cross-subsidisation of passenger transportation at the cost of cargo transportation.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukrzaliznytsia public joint-stock company initiated a raise of tariffs for passenger transportation in Q1 and Q4 2017 by 16% and for cargo transportation by 25% from February 2017.
