Ukraine, Israel Resume Free Trade Area Talks

On Tuesday, Ukraine and Israel resumed the negotiations on a free trade area between them.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The statement reads that the negotiations are underway in Kyiv and will last until January 26.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukraine and Israel have agreed to hold the next round of talks on an agreement on establishment of a free trade area.

In November 2016, Israeli Knesset's Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein called for acceleration of the signing of an agreement on establishment of a free trade area between Ukraine and Israel in November.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has postponed his visit to Israel indefinitely.
