Poroshenko To Assess Work Of Newly Appointed Odesa Regional Governor Stepanov In April

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko intends to asses the work of Maksym Stepanov, the newly appointed head of the Odesa regional state administration, in April 2017.

President Poroshenko announced this during his visit in Odesa while introducing the newly appointed governor, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Maksym, you have three months. Let us agree that you have invited me to the first assessment of the work in three months. We will meet again on the Easter, will go to a church after the Lent and we will see how things are with the airport, with the customs, tenders on roads," Poroshenko said.

President Poroshenko said it would be important to him to listen to opinions in the region on changes in three months of work of the new governor.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on November 9 dismissed Chairman of the Odesa Region State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili after he announced his decision to resign on November 7, 2016.

President Poroshenko has appointed Maksym Stepanov as Chairman of the Odesa Region State Administration.

From 2011, Stepanov was working as Director at Security Papers Printing Works Ukraina state-owned enterprise.

From 2008 to 2010, Stepanov was Deputy Chairman of the Odesa Region State Administration.
