Moldova has canceled import duties on meat products, dairy products, cement originating in Ukraine from 1 January 2017. The Interlic outlet (Moldova) announces this, Ukrainian News Agency reports. The statement reads that Moldova's Vice-Premier and Minister of Economy Octavian Kalmyk and First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv agreed during a meeting of the Moldova - Ukraine intergovernmental commission for trade cooperation in November 2016 that Moldova would not prolong the restrictive measures and quotas after 1 January 2017. The government of Moldova adopted a decision to introduce quotas and customs duties on meat products, dairy products, cement originating in Ukraine in late April 2016. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine announced in November 2016 that Moldova would abolish its import duties on meat, dairy products, and cement originating Ukraine on January 1, 2017.
