The National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) has imposed additional sanctions on Russian Federation legal entities and individuals.

Ukrainian News Agency learned this from an NSDC's statement.

The sanctions apply to persons illegally elected to the State Duma of Russia at the so-called elections held on the territory of the Russia-occupied Crimea and Sevastopol, members of the so-called elections commissions, Ukrainian enterprises in Crimea illegally re-registered under RF law.

RF law-enforcement agencies and courts, involved in the unlawful incarceration of Ukrainians in Russia, fall under the sanctions too.

The NSDC also applied sanctions to former Ukrainian leaders who are wanted and hiding abroad and accessory to terrorist financing and Russia's hybrid aggression upon Ukraine.

Moreover, sanctions have been introduced against RF-controlled entities involved in the waging of Russia's hybrid war against Ukraine in the information sphere and in the cyber space.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the NSDC has endorsed the doctrine of information security of Ukraine.

September 2, 2015, the NSDC endorsed the sanction list of 1,124 RF individuals and 156 entities, and set their duration.

In October, President Petro Poroshenko put into effect the NSDC resolution to prolong by one year the sanctions against RF persons and corporate entities.
