Ukraine Receives 2nd Financial Assistance Tranche From EU For EUR 55 Million

Ukraine has received the second tranche of the financial assistance from the European Union worth EUR 55 million.

The Ministry of Finance has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The second tranche was obtained in compliance with the financial agreement signed between the Government of Ukraine and the European Commission in 2014.

According to the report, the funds will be channeled for financing of the state budget expenditures.

The first tranche of EUR 250 million was received in July 2014.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in mid-December, Ukraine signed the agreement with the European Union on allocation of EUR 104 million for reformation of the state management.
